Statement from RARA on the Purchase of the Piovano Building

The RARA Board is happy to share that RARA and the City of Lexington have agreed on a contract to purchase the Piovano Building! The agreement is expected to be voted on following a public hearing at the next City Council meeting on Thursday, July 15th at 7pm. We believe ownership of the building will lead to exciting new opportunities for RARA and the community, and we look forward to discussing them with you in the future.

We would like to thank the community for its tremendous outpouring of support that enabled us to get here. Thanks to several generous donors, RARA was able to make an offer using only funds explicitly approved for the building purchase. If you've made a donation to RARA, your dollars funded our programs directly unless we specifically asked to use your money in another capacity.
