About the Board

Other Postemployment Benefits (or OPEB) are benefits (other than pensions) that U.S. state and local governments provide to their retired employees. These benefits principally involve health care benefits, but also may include life insurance, disability, legal and other services. The OPEB Board consists of the Finance Director, Treasurer, School Superintendent and one citizen member who has demonstrated experience in cash management and investments. The board meets on a quarterly basis for the purpose of overseeing the Trust and monitoring the investment performance.
