On June 13, 2018 a Stop Work Order was issued for blasting at the Kendal At Lexington construction site due to a blast that had caused a debris shower which impacted at least one property.
In the following days, the City released a message regarding the June 13th blast as well as another incident involving Erosion and Sediment control measures at the Kendal site.
The Fire Marshal reinstated Kendal's blasting permit on July 5, 2018, with additional conditions regarding safety.
At this time (August 3, 2018) an Origin and Cause Investigation Report has been completed by the Lexington Fire Department regarding the blast on June 13, 2018 at Kendal. The Report can be viewed here.
