What is your vision for Lexington’s future? The City wants to know!
Lexington is updating its Comprehensive Plan. That means establishing guidelines regarding future growth, development, and change. In order for the Plan to reflect resident and stakeholder wants and needs, the City must collect input.
Citizens, business owners, property owners and other stakeholders are invited to fill out the Community Survey. Data collected with the survey will be used anonymously to help structure and prioritize goals of the Comprehensive Plan. The survey can be filled out by visiting the survey webpage or by stopping by to pick one up at City Hall from 8 a.m. - 5 p.m. The Community Survey is live until August 31, 2018.
Planning Commission will lead the Comprehensive Plan Update process with assistance from staff in the Planning and Development Department at City of Lexington. Participation from citizens will be necessary throughout the process via the survey, workshops and stakeholder meetings. When Planning Commission has created a final product, the document will go before City Council for final approval.
In addition to the survey, there will be plenty of opportunities for residents and stakeholders to stay involved. For more information, visit the Comprehensive Plan Update webpage.
