Mayor Friedman has proclaimed Friday October, 27th, 2017 as Arbor Day for the City of Lexington. Led by the City Arborist, the community will celebrate by installing two new species of native trees in Stonewall Jackson Memorial Cemetery in preparation for obtaining an Arboretum Designation for the Cemetery.
Any and all are invited stop by and help the members of Public Works install the newest additions to the Urban Canopy. This will give residents an opportunity to learn how to properly install trees and get to know some of the terrific people who keep this city running. The event will take place from about 9:00 a.m. - 11:30 a.m.
